Wait.. the funniest part of this story and the skeptical comments are that they are from same people who wouldn’t take the flu shot because they were skeptical of its safety. The skeptics like it both ways, skeptics thats its safe when the government says it is, then skeptics thats its unsafe when the people disover it isn’t! HAHAHAHA

i feel very stupid after reading my message because i miss spelled alot of words and left out alot to. i just hope my point got across. docters are not perfect and the world puts to much faith in them to, they are only human. who is to say that docters practice is bullshit different things work for differnt people and it helped that he tried to help her and did.

this is very ignorant for medically uneducated people TO SAY THIS GIRL BEAUTIFUL OR UGLY is faking. there were alot of people that had bad side affects over the flu shots. they just didn’t have the money to publicise this problem. in fact there was a pregant that died after receiving this shot. there are alot of people miss dainosed every year by docters. i feel like they are upset and embaressed that they didn’t catch this these hospitals are probably getting kick backs from the shot and don’t want to lose that money.

Like Kyle, I agree she doesn’t have “below average” looks and that she’s actually very attractive – I do think this smells of hoax.

I did a little research on this disease and the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation website (along with other sites) claims this disease affects roughly 300,000 people in North America (out of a population of roughly 530 million). So according to that site, this disease affects about 500 people out of a million instead of just 1 out of a million that is claimed by the reporter – i.e. though it’s still pretty uncommon with it affecting only 5% of North America’s population – it’s not quite as rare as one in a million (.0001%).

And so I also find it questionable that she is the only one who has supposedly gotten dystonia as a result of taking the flu shot. It would seem plausible that they are purposely skewing the numbers to make the disease seem rarer than what it actually is, which is a more attractive news story than quoting the true statistics.
