17 Year Old Kara Kopetsky from Belton, Missouri Missing Since 2007

Kara Kopetsky was last seen on May 4, 2007 – she was 17 year old at the time. She disappeared without a trace and after two years of absolutely no leads, she’s becoming a cold case. But here is where Beer Steak Blog comes to play – together we can change the world for the better, even though I’m not particularly fond of young chicks who behave as though the world belonged to them. What exactly happened?

On that morning of May 4, 2007, Kara Kopetsky went to school in Belton, Missouri as normal. It wasn’t quite her day as she had forgotten a textbook at home so she called her mom and asked her to drop it off at the school office. Being 17 year old, Kara Kopetsky had an argument with a teacher which made her all pouty and sulky so she packed up and left the campus at 10.30 am – this is why I don’t like teenagers… no sense of responsibility. Leaving school just because they don’t like a teacher. Ludicrous.

The video from a surveillance camera installed in the hallway of the Belton high school recorded Kara Kopetsky walking out and that’s the last anyone saw or heard from her. The video shows the hallway, not the exit from the school, so nobody actually knows which way Kara Kopetsky went. You can see that video below the article.

According to her stepdad, Kara Kopetsky spent a lot of time on her cell phone, always texting somebody. The police checked her cell phone activity and learned that there was none since shortly after she’d left the school.

At first the police classified Kara Kopetsky as a runaway and believed she would show up a few days later. It’s now two years later and still no signs of Kara. Nothing. Her bank card has never been used, all her belongings were left behind. There is a $30 000 reward offered for tips that could lead to whereabouts of Kara Kopetsky or the arrest of person(s) responsible for her disappearance.
