Carlos Slim Helú, a Mexican guy who controls telecommunication industry in Mexico ranks are the world’s richest man for 2010 ousting Bill Gates and Warren Buffett. According to just published Forbes list of billionaires for 2010, net worth of Carlos Slim Helú is $53.5 Billion US, which half a billion more than Bill Gates’ worth who ranked second with the sum of $53 Billion US. Carlos Slim is definitely old school. He’s of the tried and true “guerrilla billionaire” strategy: buy lots of businesses and either keep them for the cash flow or fix ‘em up and sell them. The goal is to make money off a lot of deals instead of a killing on just one.

bless

He should take care of the poor. thank you.

ok, you do know it’s pretty pointless to raise those issues about Mexico in this article, who even cares? It doesn’t make up anything. If that Mexican guy is the richest, well let him be the richest… that’s all I wanted to know. A good point is he doesn’t donate as much as Gates does, but there’s absolutely no reason to start talking shit about his country. I’m not even from Mexico or the Phillipines (by the way, mentioning this country is even more absurd), and I’m pretty sure those countries have a lot of great things to offer.
So don’t be so grumpy…. and if you can’t help it, don’t let it show in your articles. Have a nice day!

i dont know where this guys gets his information, i am mexican and i have live my hole life in this country and i can tell you that there are some problems like in any other country but this country is nothing like you say comparing it to Afghanistan and irak, plus there are american cities ranked up higher in insecurity than mexican cities, just to mention Oakland, Detroit, Sant louis.
