What you do not know, is that Ontario is one of the warmest provinces in Canada. If you tried Alberta, then you’d know what cold is. But that’s not the point right now. Obviously (well, only obvious if you are a Canadian) the camera purposefully doesn’t turn around all the way. There is another fishing hole somewhere behind the cameraman that’s never included in the picture. As he starts to talk to the ladies about how the fishing is going and asks where Mike was, you can hear him enter the river through that other hole. He then surfaces from main hole and makes it sound as though he swimmed across the lake. Neil is following him to do exactly the same thing. So while it is half fake, the crazies did actually go in the freezing water, they just did not swim a mile underneath the ice.

I thought it needed to explain to you cause internet users are not particularly known for their smarts. And come extreme ice fishing to Alberta, not Ontario if you’re considering an adventure and are not afraid to face the real cold weather. Or don’t come at all. Find something better to do that doesn’t involve butchering beautiful fish. Like sex for example. But not in Alberta. Girls here are as cold as that ice.
