New MySpace Logo

Several reasonably reliable internet sources, including Forbes and Tech Crunch claim that this is the New MySpace Logo. It looks rather silly, silly enough to not be taken seriously, but after announcements from web behemoths that this is the real deal New MySpace Logo, I’m gonna believe that it’s for real.
What we see here is MySpace’s attempt to draw attention to its dying fame. I don’t know what kind of audiences they are trying to attract with this new logo, but perhaps it’s meant to appeal to geeks who would understand the typology of a space mark on t3h interwebs.
I wonder how much MySpace paid for the creation of this new logo. Damn…
