(FILES) — This 2004 National Press Photographers association file image shows US-Iranian reporter Roxana Saberi, when she was a speaker at the NPPA Women in Photojournalism Conference in Kanasas City, Missouri. An Iranian court began on May 10, 2009 to hear the appeal for Saberi who has been sentenced to eight years in prison on charges of espionage. An AFP correspondent said Saberi, looking gaunt and pale, was brought to the court by three guards.
