Jodi Applegate Fired and Replaced by Rosanna Scotto on Good Day New York

I lost track of time, so I see it’s three
years since Jodi Applegate left, was fired,
was beamed up by Scotty, or what? I’m a big
fan of Fox 5, and especially Good Day New York, but whever my head was at three years
ago, I lived and breathed a 7 AM wake-up call
with Jodi Applegate, and whoever her sidekick was at the time. Going back further in time, sorry but I’m not consumed with old anchors with white hair (haven’t been since
Walter Cronkite hung up his saddle–and he never even had white hair), but the old guy next to Jodi said good-bye publically–then showed up briefly on Chanbel 9–11? One of those second-cousins of Channel 5. The the parade began of young, clever co-hosts making
Jodi look like a MILF, but she was just so cute and smart all at once that I began to believe she was Esther Williams’s love child,
you know, the auburn hair and greenish eyes.
Obviously, Jodi in the morning was more important than anything Starbucks could put in a paper cup to wake me up in the morning.
To make myslef clear–there hasn’t been a
single person of Fox 5 whom I haven’t liked in one way or another, accept for Julie Chang
who goes beyond like and has my Korean wife pissed becasue I can’t resist Julie unbridled giggles on the Red Carpet. Forgive
Jung when she says you’re ugly, Julie. We know better. What happened to Korean loyalty?
Must be all those grim rumblings on the northern side of the DMZ.

Here I go fantasizing about Julie when Jodi
Applegate is your essential red-blooded American guy’s ultimate fantasy. I wish Jodi’ssudden–and I mean SUDDEN–disappearance from Good Day NY had been disclosed formally, so I could have protested or at least sent her flowers of encouragement that FOX has their ratings up
their wazoo.

Currently Fox has all of the female anchors
reporters, whatever–popping out the bambinos left and right–which is great– and
says a lot about having to get up at 4 AM.

So some Fox exec says abracadabra and Jodi
disappears and suddenly we have Greg Kelly
and (just zapping ya) Rosanna Rosannadanna,
a great pairing–like sushi and Sauerbraten, not that it’s a bad combo–it’s great–MILF
vs Officer Krupki’s mellow son. Greg, you’re perfect for the spot, but it’s like Rosanna has kept you after school and unless you write–”I respect my elders.” a thousand times you ain’t ever gettin’ to play football after school. So when Rosanna takes the Regis pill, be certain that you’ll proabably hold that spot for a couple of decades, but please do us all a favor if
your ratings give you power–bring back
Jodi Applegate, because if the Enter- tainment portion of Good Day NY comes on
with you, Jodi, and Julie Chiang comes on
at 7 AM, the visual, intellectual menage a
trois of Irish, Korean, and the Big Apple-
gate will proabably give me a stroke.
