Kanye West vs Taylor Swift Clash at VMA - Publicity Stunt by David Wirtschafter?

Were you one of the many who felt outraged by Kanye West ruining Taylor Swift’s big moment at MTV’s VMA? Has it ever occurred to you that it all could have been one big publicity stunt? What if none of what we have seen was real? What if all that fiasco was a staged, pre-planned production to boost publicity? As it turns out, both Kanye West and Taylor Swift have the same agent. His name is David Wirtschafter. Let’s do some loud thinking and you can do your own math yourself:

What if David Wirtschafter simply realized that most of TV viewers are brainless morans who will eat what they are served and will not only munch with their mouth closed, they will also pick their teeth when they are alone in the washroom. As history proves us, manipulating masses is this easy.

Given the above, what if David Wirtschafter who represents both Kanye West and Taylor Swift, called them both up for the meeting and told them that MTV’s Video Music Awards is a good opportunity to stir controversy? Because controversy gets people talking and the more the people talk, the more the boring musicians such as Kanye West and Taylor Swift remain before public’s eyes and for as long as they are there, the public will spend money on their boring albums.

But how to pull off a publicity stunt that will work and get people talking? Afterall, they have other boring artists like Lady Gaga who’s also a shitty musician (it hurts to give her a title of a musician, but let’s leave it for now) desperate for attention and since her music sucks, she can only do try hard attempts to draw attention to herself.

In order to outdo a bunch of wannabies like Lady GaGa, one would have to come up with an idea for a publicity stunt that will not only shock, but also upset people. And what could possibly achieve both? How about Kanye West stepping in to ruin what people would see as big moment of Taylor Swift? This would definitely get everyone upset, all mainstream media would talk about it and the public would want to see who that poor Taylor Swift is again, since all they hear about from every angle is her and then some more of her.

To keep the momentum going, Kanye West who will also be talked about could go on apologizing to Taylor West ad nauseum until every single moran on the face of a planet has heard of both Kanye West and Taylor Swift and (hopefully) checked out their music while they’re at it.

Could it really be that Taylor Swift was not a victim but we the public are? Could it be that David Wirtschafter truly pulled off a well pre-arranged publicity stunt at MTV’s VMA that delivered and continues to deliver on the momentum? You be the judge. The fact remains that under the heading for “Agent”, both Kanye West and Taylor Swift have the same name – David Wirtschafter.

I thought what Kanye did was reprehensible. He has apologized, it is time to move on.

This post made me sick to my stomache. In many ways, is far worse than what Kanye did.

We will find you and we will take legal action.

You have made accusations about Taylor that I know are false and fradulent. We will be contacting our lawyer immediately.

You are one sick dude. If you have a problem with Dave Wirtschafer, call him, but do not make accusations about Taylor Swift that are flat wrong. At no time in our relationship with Dave has he ever asked Taylor or done anything that we are not proud of.

For the record, Taylor’s record sales are not handled by an agent, they are handled by Big Machine and her 10,000,000+ are just fine.

What you did is not.

Taylor was in shock and horror and I hope you never see the look on your child’s face that was on Taylor’s when she walked off stage.

You are sick.

To know Taylor is to know that she would never do what you have suggested.

If you have problems with Dave Wirtschafter, make an appointment but what you have done from my perspective is sickening and disgusting.

What would your Mother or Dad say?

I am Taylor’s Dad and I do not appreciate you questioning my daughter’s honesty when I know Taylor and I know she would never partcipate willingly in a stunt like this.

Taylor knows that she is responsible for her actions and what she did last weekend makes me so proud of her.

You too are responsible for what you say and what you do. The consequences of this post are not good.

This is nothing more than an electronic slam book.

Please remove this post now.

Or, put up your name and address and the people that told you this fabrication and it will make it easier for all of our lawyers to drive you into the ground.

Wow, Taylor Swift = amazing. Not only does her music suck, but also her father. I’m sure as hell going to post about this comment on all country music forums so everyone who was considering buying a Taylor Swift CD knows who they’d be supporting.

Beer Steak Blog is small-minded, mean-spirited bullshit. The author’s logic is reminiscent of those who believe the U.S. government was responsible for 9/11 and President Obama is not a U.S. citizen. It is true that David Wirtschafter is the agent for both Taylor Swift and Kanye West. He happens to be the West Coast head of William Morris Agency and works with dozens, if not hundreds, of other artists. The author added 2 and 2 together and got 5. Oops.

Guy

Suuuuure your her dad >:D
And even if you were you would have no basis what so ever to file a law suit. The author of this post, although very mean i admit, is in no way breaking any rules:
-The endless “What if” “could” and allegation in interrogative sentences are there to make sure you get it in your skull that he is (at least explicitly) merely suggesting.
-I don’t believe he is sick in anyway. VMA has for year pulled off publicity stunts, and this wouldn’t be the first time someone got suspicious.
-The US is a democratic country, the author has every right to express his views and opinion on any of the artist(regardless if one of them really is your daughter) mentioned above, about their music, as well as on “most TV viewers”.

I hope you understand that though i write this i don’t really agree with the author. Nor do i believe that your really who you post yourself as, but rather some reaaaally bored person with no knowledge of the American judicial system. So sue me!

Watch out Angie and Guy. That person gets off on threats. He’s gonna threat everyone and anyone with lawsuits. I’m pretty sure threats made on the internet are as serious an offense as threats made in real life.

Please Comment. It Means a LOT :o)
