Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that the whole lot of them were actually engaging in the worst sort of racial mockery. So what? I fail to see how that entitles ANYONE to $4million in reparations. Remember the old adage, “sticks and stones may break my bone, but names will never hurt me”? I know, it’s an old saying, and only indirectly applicable in this situation, but we politically-correct Americans would do well to head it every now and again. If someone offends someone else, someone might become angry and hit them (hopefully not more than hit); that is a definite possibility; but the overhyped, news-media coverage must stop. Let’s say the “insult” was a, “your momma” comment — e.g. your mamma is a whore. Should a group of mothers seek a settlement of $4 million? I think that case would be laughed out of court, but that’s just my opinion. We must stop placing so much emphasis (and media coverage) on ethic or racial comments (derogatory or otherwise); we need to treat them much as we would, a “your momma” comment. Let me reiterate, “chill out”.
