I came across this video while researching Dr Milton Friedman and thought it would be his take on unions. Man, did I get a surprise. Being touted as one of the best documentaries about marijuana prohibition is at best an understatement.

Even at an hour and a half, it still barely scratches the surface. To get a little more understanding, go to (the late) Peter McWilliams book "Ain't Nobody's Business If You Do." The chapter on drug prohibition in general and marijuana specifically will give you yet another perspective. And, if you really want to get pissed off, delve into the circumstances surrounding Peter's untimely death.

Guys, I'm 57 and I've been both a heavy and casual cannibis user for nearly 40 years. I think I can state unequivocally that I started when I realized, after trying it, that I had been lied to. And I said, "What else have they lied to me about?"

Now, I realize how hard it can be to be an activist when you're stoned. You just want to kick back with your Buds (all 3 kinds) and chill. And we certainly all know how hard it can be to stay on subject in a conversation when buzzin'.

But, I think there are a few simple things that can be done to further the cause of ending this prohibition.

 1. Vote for Libertarian candidates for public office. I have never known one who wants marijuana to remain illegal. There simply aren't any.

 2. Get involved in, to whatever extent you feel comfortable, with a organization such as NORML.

 3. Always keep a kean eye and ear out for the next round of lies.

Yours in Liberty,

hey, can you find and email me the name of the song at the very end (4 minutes from the end, I believe) and I think at the intro too, and email it to me? I have been looking everywhere and it's too beautiful to not own. Thanks! And the documentary was really, really good. The best documentary I've ever seen actually.
