September 20th, 2007Cyclist Floyd Landis won 2006 Tour De France championship but his victory was spoiled by the doping scandal after the tests showed that he used synthetic testosterone. Floyd Landis kept denying the use of performance enhancing drugs but he lost his 4 months long fight today after the results of the tests have been confirmed. What this all means for Floyd Landis, is that he loses his 2006 Tour De France title, and gets suspended for 2 years so he won’t be able to race in near future.
He still has a last resort and can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports. If he doesn’t appeal or is his appeal is denied, Floyd Landis will become the first case in the 105 years long history of Tour De France to lose the title because of a doping violation.
