The bottle seen in the photo above is currently the most expensive bottle of alcohol in the world. All previous bottles of alcohol that used to be the most expensive in the world are no longer so. The Diamond Sterling, as this bottle of finest tequila is titled is worth $3.5 Million making it the most expensive bottle of alcohol in the world to date.

“The Diamond Sterling” is a creation of Fernando Altamirano (Hacienda La Capilla) who used 2.380 kg of pure platinum and 4,100 brilliant-cut diamonds to create this 1.3 liter bottle which was filled with a blend of three of the finest tequilas to create what’s allegedly the best tasting tequila ever.

As said above, the value of The Diamond Sterling is $3.5 Million US and once the buyer is found (at an auction), the makers of the liquor are hoping to earn themselves a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s most expensive bottle of alcohol.

The only question now remains – how would you drink tequila for which you have just paid $3.5 Million? Would you actually drink from that bottle or just archive it behind a bulletproof glass for your guests to see? But if so, than what’s a bragging right worth if you won’t even drink the booze you paid so much money for?

According to just published Forbes list of billionaires for 2010, net worth of Carlos Slim Helú is $53.5 Billion US, which half a billion more than Bill Gates’ worth who ranked second with the sum of $53 Billion US. Given billions upon billions of his own dollars that Bill Gates gives to charities every year through Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates remains the richest man in the world despite Carlos Slim banking in an additional $500 Million.

Mexico, as we all know is a war zone. One of the most dangerous places in the world, right up there with other super dangerous countries such as The Philippines, riddled with gang wars that try to outdo one another with brutality. There are more murders in Mexico each year, than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined and that’s where the rule of Carlos Slim Helú is set in. Whether he’s the world’s richest man on paper for 2010 or not, Bill Gates remains the real richest man in the world. Naica Crystal Cave in Mexico

I occasionally find out about new wonders of the world that no-one knows about, yet they are absolutely astounding. Naica Crystal Cave in Mexico is definitely one of them. Discovered only recently, Naica Crystal Cave contains world’s largest natural crystals (translucent beams of gypsum) some of which are as long as 11 meters. It’s very hot inside Naica Crystal Cave – temperature reaches 50 Degrees Celsius and humidity is almost always near 100% making for challenging visits. Sharp edged crystals along with unbearable environment resulted in Mexican Naica Crystal Cave labelled as one of the most dangerous places in the world.

Cueva de los Cristales (Cave of the Crystals) – as Naica is known among native Mexicans will be featured on “How Earth Made Us” program broadcast by British BBC and on The Deadliest Places on Earth feature by National Geographics in early 2010. You can seen the video with first footage ever recorded in Naica Crystal Cave in Mexico below. Filmed by Italian cave explorers, the video offers great perception on how hot and humid it is inside the cave.

I am not sure whether Naca Crystal Cave is open for tourists, but given that a human can only survive for some 10 minutes in such harsh environment without specialty protective clothing, I somehow doubt that. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who visited the area to find out what really is going on. Naica Crystal Cave is located near Delicias in Chihuahua state of Mexico. It was discovered in 2000 when Mexican miners were pumping mineral rich water from a well covering the cave. Neico is a range of mines in the Chihuahu state where mining has been done for year. A visit to this world marvel must be interesting. Too bad Mexico is so dangerous nowadays. Check out the mindboggling video below:

Amy Voorhees Killed by Galindo-Sanchez Brothers – Illegal Mexicans

Jose Luis Galindo-Sanchez and Lucio Galindo-Sanchez who killed teacher Amy Voorhees in a crash

Jose Luis Galindo-Sanchez and his brother Lucio Galindo-Sanchez are both Mexicans who were illegally in the USA. On Wednesday April 8th, 2009 the brothers were driving a pick-up truck on their way from a sprinkler company in Medford where they illegally worked. Jose Luis Galindo-Sanchez was driving and utilizing his unsurpassed driving skills, he broadsided the vehicle driven by a 27 year old, 7th grade teacher Amy Voorhees killing her on the spot.

At time of this post the police have not made an official statement as to whether any traffic laws were violated prior to crash that killed Amy Voorhees, however both Galindo-Sanchez brothers were taken to police custody and are held on an immigration detainer.

26 year old Jose Luis Galindo-Sanchez (shown in the photo above on the left) is charged with obstruction of justice, hindering apprehension and witness tampering as he told his brother to leave the scene after the crash. Lucio Galindo-Sanchez was apprehended a quarter mile away as is being held as material witness.

Amy Voorhees was a teacher at Evesham’s DeMasi Middle School. She was killed on her way to work. According to New Jersey State police statistics, Amy Voorhees is the 11th car accident fatality in Burlington County this year. The incident is being investigated by the New Jersey State Police, the Evesham Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

This is pretty crazy. Young Mexican featherweight boxer Daniel Aguillón was fighting a match against Alejandro Sanabria, also from Mexico on October 15, 2008 in Polanco, Mexico. In 12th round, 40 seconds before the end of the super featherweight bout for the Central American title, Alejandro Sanabria knocked out Daniel Aguillón with a brutal punch to the jaw and Daniel fell on the ring floor unconscious. Medics took him to the hospital, but after 5 days in a coma, Daniel Aguillón was pronounced dead. He was 24 year old :(

During his professional boxing career, Daniel Aguillón went through several matches and his score was 16-4-2. Nine of sixteen won matches were won by knock out. I like watching boxing (or any martial art for that matter) but don’t consider myself an expert. I don’t however think boxers consider dying in the ring any form of great way of passing. I think it’s terrible for any boxer to die as direct result of a boxing fight. If I was to guess, I’d think boxers would want to put on a few years of boxing, make themselves some money and retire early on before there’s any bad damage done to their brain and hopefully their accomplishments would have left the legacy so their name is forever connected with boxing.

The video of the knock out that killed Daniel Aguillón is below. 24 year old is too young to go. Daniel didn’t have a chance to make a big name for himself in boxing, but let’s hope boxing world will not forget him. I wouldn’t be surprised if Alejandro Sanabria – a guy who delivered the punch that killed Daniel Aguillón called it quits and left the ring for good. I don’t know how I would deal with death of a fellow sportsman.
