Brittany Murphy who died last Sunday starred in a movie called Deadline. Before her death, Brittany posed for a poster for said movie in which she is depicted lying dead in the bathtub. A DVD rental company RedBox is now trying to remove all of the posters from outdoor displays and 19,000 kiosks that still contain the graphic. RedBox claims that it will take 7 to 10 days to complete the emergency recall entirely. Some reports say that when dead body of Brittany Murphy was found by her mother, she was lying in the bathtub. If that’s true, that would make the existence of the poster really shocking and ironic. Meantimely, the preparations for Brittany Murphy’s funeral are well under way.
As it was with Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy did not ring many bells for many people, but after her shocking death her name is all over the place and revenue for the movies she starred in will likely go up. That’s why The Dark Knight cashed in so much. Deadline will probably earn way more than production company anticipated. Death has some serious magic to it.
